All Decoys must remain on display until 3:00 PM on Sunday.
Division II Rest of the Marsh Contest Not an IWCA Contest
Levels of Competition:
Open All carvers may enter and must include any carver who has won a best of show from this show.
Novice Carvers who have not won a best of show at any competition.
Rules:
The entry must have been carved within one year of the show date
All visible marks that would identify the carver must be covered.
The entry must be made of wood, except the eyes, legs, feet and habitat.
The categories of birds as described in the Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Birds (Eastern Region) are as follows: Long-legged waders, upland game birds, owls, hawklike, pigeon-like, tree clinging bird, perching birds, raptors, game bird, shorebirds & miscellaneous. The contest chairman reserves the right to create/delete categories to maximize the number of birds eligible for best of show and ribbons in each category.
All birds except those that float or are part of the shorebird contest will be accepted in this contest.
The live bird will be the criteria for judging.
No previous purchase award winners.
Miniature Rules The same rules as for Rest of the Marsh shall apply with the addition that these carvings can be less, but no longer than ½ life size.
Previous Best of Show winners who have won cash awards and owned by someone other than the carver will be disqualified.

Any Song Bird and its Habitat Not an IWCA Contest
(Betty Odine $500 Purchase award)
The entry must be made of wood except for the eyes, legs & feet. The habitat MUST be hand made.
The actual full bodied bird and the Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Birds, Eastern Region will serve as guide to judging. The nest must be similar to the nest the bird would use to raise its young. Research will be necessary to show egg color and young birds if they are part of the nest.
