General Contest Rules
The following rules apply to all contests unless otherwise stated.
- All entries must remain on display until 3:00pm on Sunday.
- All entries must never have been entered in any ODCCA competition before.
- Entries that have won purchace awards in other contests, and no longer owned to the carver are not allowed.
- Levels of Competition:
- Open- Anyone who has won a best of show in intermediate or amatuer in that ODCCA contest. "Open" may also refer to carvers of all levels. Typically, these divisions have no Novice or Intermediate levels and are not subject to advancement rules.
- Intermediate- Anyone who has won a best of show in that ODCCA contest in the novice. After winning the intermediate you must enter the open.
- Novice- Typically beginning carvers. After winning a novice best of show in that ODCCA contest, you most move up to at least the intermediate level.
- Amateur- Non professional carvers. After winning the amateur best of show in that ODCCA contest, you must move up to the Open
- If any entry deteriorates or fails before the end of the contest, it will be disqualified.
- All visible marks that would identify the carver must be covered.
