  1. Decoys must be made of wood or cork. Bills can be made of any material.birds
  2. Decoys are to be carved life size and must be full bodied. No silhouettes decoys will be permitted.
  3. Texturing, inserts and fragile parts and individually carved feathers will not be permitted, except for bills, where fragility will not be considered in judging.
  4. Decoys must be mounted on a detachable dowel and base for display. Base and dowel (leg) are not considered when judging.
  5. Realistic painting is expected.
  6. Final Judging for projection likeness to species will be done from a minimum distance of eight (8) feet.
  7. I.W.C.A. judging procedures and Code of Ethics will be in effect.
  8. All birds entered in this contest will be qualified for the IWCA Shorebird Championship.

Curlews, Godwits & Whimbrels Yellow Legs (both) & Willets Avocets & Stilts Plovers (all)
All Sandpipers, including Dunlins Turnstones, Knots, Dowitchers Wading Birds Other Shorebirds

Balcony 2nd Floor

  • Friday, March 16, 2012 - 6:30- 7:30PM
  • Saturday, March 17, 2012 - 8:00-9am

 

Entry Fees:

Open $20 first entry and $5 for each additional entry
Intermediate $15 first entry and $5 for each additional entry
Novice $10 first entry and $5 for each additional entry
