2025: The biggest Working Decoy contests in the country!
Three exciting Wildfowler contests were held Sunday morning in the Holiday Inn pool: Singles Open, Shooting Stool 3-Bird Rig Open, and Youth, (three age groups). A standing-room-only crowd watched as 92 singles, 25 rigs and 3 youth entries were floated in the pool and judged - record setting! The competition is based on the tradition and heritage of basic, functional, hunting-style decoys, This is especially a great contest for beginning carvers! Top prize for BOS singles open was a $300 Purchase Award, a rosette and plaque. Top BOS for 3-bird rigs was $150, a rosette and plaque. Youth received $25 and ribbons. Congratulations to all of our competitors - great job in carrying on this tradition.
